PARMA, Ohio — Returning home to the friendly confines of Byers Field after traveling to Maryland last week, St. Ignatius cleaned up some first-half miscues and grounded Euclid, 38-0, on Saturday afternoon. It may not have been as pretty of a win as head coach Chuck Kyle wanted, but St. Ignatius (3-0, No. 6 in this week's cleveland.com Top 25) kept the ball moving against a physical Euclid (0-4) squad with nothing to lose. While the offense turned the ball over three times in the first quarter, the Wildcats' defense, specifically the line, was the model of consistency Kyle could rely on.
