The Euclid Fire Department extinguished three separate building fires during a 24-hour shift on March 20. According to a post on the department's Facebook page, quick response and prompt application of water limited the damage for each. According to the post, the first fire was reported at 4:36 p.m. at 442 Clearview Drive, Unit U. Crews arrived to find black smoke coming from the front door and determined a fire was burning in the basement. Pets were inside, but were not harmed due to quick extinguishment and ventilation of the smoke from the building.
